This tour can be tailored to your cruise ship's timings, and as Isafjordur is a small and very compact town we can start and finish the walk right at your cruise ship dock.

We start the tour from the local fish shop and walk along the outer harbour to the backstreets with the oldest houses of Isafjordur. We learn about the fishing industry, see some of the most historic houses and listen to stories from folklore.
We then head out for a view over the bay to get acquainted with the region and fjords around Isafjordur before continuing our walk past the music school to the Haestikaupstadur area where we get acquainted with the settlement of Iceland and history of the town.
There is a 10-minute break at the town square where you can learn about Icelandic cuisine, coffee and cake culture at the bakery and visit some of the craft shops to see Icelandic knitwear.
We then continue past the grand Edinborg house to Nedstikaupstadur, a heritage area which houses the oldest buildings in town and the Westfjords Heritage Museum, from where you have a gorgeous view of the fjord.
