We only had 5 days in Iceland, and were spending most of the time visiting relatives . My brother & I (along with his wife & daughter) really wanted to go to the small village of Patreksfjordur, where our Mother was born.
Haldor went above & beyond, and located a distant relative of ours in Patreksfjordur - Bríet , who agreed to meet with us and fill us in on some of our family history that we were not aware of.
Arrangements were seamless from start to finish - such an amazing day...thank you again, Halldór & crew!!! -
We had an amazing stay in Iceland and definitely want to come back soon and explore some more. The itinerary was daunting but we got it all done with the exception of hiking Glymur trail.
The Westfjords and the Peninsula were definite highlights but the whole trip was great start to finish. -

I must tell you that my tour with you is probably THE best tour I've ever taken (and I've taken a lot). My guide Rico set a bar so high that I don’t know if any other tour guide will ever measure up :)
I can't say enough great things about him, or about the tour! I was floored by how many gorgeous sights we squeezed into two days. I hope to return to the Westfjords someday and I'll absolutely book tours with you again. -
Thanks so much for arranging a truly wonderful day in Isafjordur (and another one in Greenland) for us! The sites were awesome and our guide was terrific! The tea and waffles made a nice break in the day. We all had an amazing time! I know we will be wistfully looking at the pictures for a long time to come (or until we come back anyway).

It was my tenth vacation in Iceland, and still Halldór and Lucian managed to take me to lots of wonderful places I had never visited before. Awesome! My favorite trip was a jeep tour to Kaldbakur (a road that you barely find on ‘google maps’), but all the other hikes were great as well. Wildwestfjords is surely the best guarantee for an authentic Icelandic experience. The planning was very flexible and smooth, so the program was perfectly adapted to what I had looked for. Very well done, thank you!

Thank you so much for helping to make our holiday so fantastic. Our guide Magnus was magnificent - a really nice guy who was obviously keen to show us the best of Iceland. We loved our attempt to visit the Singing Cave, the beautiful landscapes and the sledding. All the accommodation was great. We have put our map of Iceland up in the office and marked our routes! It was an unbelievable trip, we learned a lot, and enjoyed the magic of the West Fjords and Northern Iceland! To put it in numbers, we took at least 1000 pictures during the three days! Magnus was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, caring and committed to showing us the best! And on our last night we saw the northern lights!!!

Our trip went off so well. Our family will remember it fondly for many years to come. We are not easy to please and have travelled extensively. However, this will definitely survive as one of our favorite trips.

We had a wonderful time. Thank you for the great itinerary. We really enjoyed the West and East Fjords particularly. The highlights for us were Grimsey island and Westmann islands! We enjoyed walking on Grimsey with thousands of puffins and other birds with hardly anyone else. Westmann island boat tour was incredible. Orcas were diving and swimming right in front of us! Our son was completely captivated. Hiking around Westmann island was really fun as well. We explored the hot vents at the top of the crater and that was really amazing. You definitely deserve glowing recommendations:)

Hornstrandir was a huge challenge, a big step into the unknown too but it was absolutely wonderful. We saw 6 Arctic Foxes between us and your tips for our time there were totally invaluable...I also really appreciated your flexibility and your endless patience with all my questions during the booking process.

We would like to express our thanks for the assistance Wild Westfjords provided to us in facilitating the most fabulous time abroad we have ever experienced. Initially after weeks of frustration in trying to arrange our Icelandic driving tour through our travel agent, you rescued the situation and literally within a day or so had efficiently organised and booked everything for us. The standard and quality of accommodation you arranged for us exceeded our expectations and I admit rather demanding requirements. When other agencies were telling us "Sorry it can't be done." You were able to make it happen. We loved the tour and locations you selected. You were also there when we needed some extra help. We were extremely happy with every aspect of our tour and its not often that can be said. The vehicle was great as were the suggested sights and extra tours. Our only regret is that we did not take a few extra days - say 13 or 14 and spend some time in the West fjord area. Our congratulations on a reliable and professionally operated tour business. We have recommended Wild Westfjords to our travel agent and friends. We will definitely be back to arrange our next stay in Iceland with you in a couple of years. I really enjoyed the tour I did with Wild West Fjords and am glad I booked it. Magnus was helpful and knowledgeable and definitely made sure that I got my money's worth on the tour. It was nice that I was able to spend as much time in the places as I wanted, and I appreciated the fact that Magnus took me up and showed me a few beautiful spots around Hnifsdalur when we had a bit of time left at the end of the day. I am also glad that I took you up on your suggestion to do the cliff drive as well, as that was well worth the time, and we even managed to see some whales while we were driving around the fjords. All in all, it was an excellent and unforgettable experience!

In the winter of 2013 I had the opportunity to experience the beauty and wilderness of Hornstrandir, through an independent trip. As it was not tourist season, I was initially worried of having troubles organizing the trip; fortunately, though, I was fortunate to find Halldor's Wild Westfjords. His experience of the area has been extremely precious. He is reliable, fast in answering and always very precise in the informations he provides. I definitely suggest to visit the Westfjords and Hornstrandir through Wild Westfjords, you won't be disappointed!

We appreciated your attention to the changing needs of our group, even with the last minute changes when everyone decided to go for the volcano trip. Thanks for your help with that...you put together a customized trip for us based on interests, and details such as flight times. It was not just a "prepackaged" 7 day tour. I found the Wild Westfjords service really useful. It took all the hassle out of making multiple bookings, and the trip price was much cheaper than another provider that has a service fee. They were also helpful with suggestions of things to do and approximate driving times, which aren't always easy to estimate. It was good to feel there was someone available to help if you did have a problem, which luckily, we didn't. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much for every thing our time in Iceland was perfect. Iceland has left a real impression on us so dramatic and beautiful I think we had no idea what to expect so what we saw and did was amazing. Our guide Magnus was fantastic, he came and met us the night before which was not scheduled and we saw the northern lights!!!!! Then he took care of us for the rest of our time and anything we showed interest in he pursued. Well our adventure is over life is back to normal and we have great memories. Thanks for all your help advise and organization we are telling every one how good you are and Iceland.
